Everyone welcome. Refreshments served. Iris presents a diverse programme of single channel, performance-based films created and screened entirely on hand-processed black and white 16mm film. What happens when a group of artists are tasked with making a film about the “End of the World” using a limited supply of black and white print stock?
The sea level rises, the magnetic poles switch; we face the mortality of ourselves and those we love; we question ideas of identity, representation and time itself. We confront both the limits of our technical capacity as creators, and the collective imagination. Featuring films by Alex Mackenzie, Amanda Thomson, Ryder White, John Woods, Zoe Kirk-Gushowaty, Michelle Simone Smith, Ariel Kirk-Gushowaty, Sydney Southam and Lisa G. Nielsen.
