Join us for the premiere of the newest Living Landscapes of SG̱ang Gwaay project film. Since 2021, Parks Canada, the Haida Nation, the Haida Gwaii Museum, and the Haida Gwaii Watchmen have worked together in response to the 2018 storm and blow down event at SG̱ang Gwaay. The new film captures highlights from the 2022 field season, including unearthing artifacts of the past that help deepen our understanding of what life on SG̱ang Gwaay would have looked like up to 10,000 years ago.
Speakers will follow the film to share some of their knowledge of what has been found during the project, as well as behind-the-scenes stories and project updates. Artifacts from SG̱ang Gwaay will also be on display.
