Please join us in welcoming Chief Sharleen Gale. Ms Gale’s nation is at the heart of fracking territory and would be impacted by BC’s proposed LNG boom. Chief Gale understands the importance of upholding the spirit and intent of the historic treaty with the crown and she is committed to asserting her people’s inherent indigenous rights to their land. Ms Gale will discuss the challenges of honour her ancestors and protecting a way of life for future generations amidst BC’s “gasrush”.
