Organizations and individuals can register for this 40 hr course. This course is suitable for those who wish to become professional guides, parks officials and/or work in fields such as recreation and ecotourism. Perticipants learn skills and strategies for providing extended care overnight to a few days. For more info on this course, visit the Canadian Red Cross website. Priority will be given to local residents working in recreation and tourism.
Each course includes a pocket mask, certification through Red Cross, all PPE, course materials (Wilderness Remote Field Guide) and instruction. Please come prepared with your own food and water. Dress appropriately.
